In November 2023 I was diagnosed with acute promylocytic leukemia. I spend 6 weeks in Hosptial before returning home and had over 10 months of treatment.
York Against Cancer provided a vacation home we were able to stay in for a weekend while undergoing treatment giving us something much needed to look forward to and enjoy while going through a really difficult time.
When I saw this event I had to get involved!
